To Be or Not Tuba - Solo for Tuba Øystein Sjøvaag Heimdal

[EN]The tuba is an instrument which normally have the accompaniment role in the band. But it is also a great solo instrument which this piece shows.
The piece was written for Håvard Monge Heimdal and the Norwegian School Band Tjøme skolemusikk.

The tempo markings are meant for guidance only and might be adjusted to fit the soloist and band. Please be shure to use the dynamics soloist vs accompaniment carefully throughout the piece.

To the conductor: The long accompaniment notes in the cadenza (bar 73 to 81) might be omitted if the soloist wishes to play these bars unaccompanied.

[NO]Tuba er et instrument som vanligvis stort sett spiller basslinjer. Men det er også et flott soloinstrument, og her er et stykke for solo tuba og korps.
Stykket er opprinnelig skrevet til Håvard Monge Heimdal og Tjøme skolemusikk, men de håper mange andre vil spille det også.

Tempoet kan gjerne tilpasses etter hva solisten syns passer. Pass på å bruke dynamikken godt så solisten høres.
