Die amerikanische Soul Music Gruppe Earth, Wind and Fire wurde 1970 vom Sänger und Schlagzeuger Maurice White gegründet und kannte ab 1975 eine internationale Karriere. Besonders die Blechbläser fielen ins Auge bei den spektakulären Shows die eine Fusion von Jazz und Funk brachten. Manfred Schneider schrieb ein ganz schönes Medley in dem er die erfolgreichen Fantasy, I'll Write A Song For You und Boogie Wonderland verarbeitete.
