Bandanna Overture Daron Aric Hagen

[EN]Bandanna is the extraordinary opera commissioned by a consortium of 79 members of the College Band Directors National Association, and premiered at the CBDNA convention in Austin, TX on February 28, 1999. This overture is not a part of the opera, but an independent concert work created by the composer for concert performance. A brilliantly scored composition, that has already been adopted by the Texas UIL Prescribed Music List, Overture to "Bandanna" features many musical ideas from the opera including the wonderful melody that brings audiences to their feet. [DE]Bandanna ist die außergewöhnliche Oper, die von einem Konsortium von 79 Mitgliedern der College Band Directors National Association in Auftrag gegeben und am 28. Februar 1999 auf dem CBDNA-Kongress in Austin, TX, uraufgeführt wurde. Diese Ouvertüre ist kein Teil der Oper, sondern ein eigenständiges, vom Komponisten für die konzertante Aufführung geschaffenes Werk. Die Ouvertüre zu "Bandanna" ist eine brillant komponierte Komposition, die bereits in die Texas UIL Prescribed Music List aufgenommen wurde und viele musikalische Ideen aus der Oper enthält, darunter auch die wunderbare Melodie, die das Publikum zum Mitklatschen bringt.
