Gertl Jahns ist eigentlich ein bekannter niederländischer Blasmusikkomponist. Er schrieb dieses einfaches lateinamerikanisches Stück für Blasorchester. Der 'Bajon' ist ein typischer brasilianischer Volkstanz mit starkem Rhythmus und exotischen Elementen.
