Racconto ist ein Divertimento in vier nahtlosen Teilen, das vom Prozess vor einer musikalischen Aufführung bis zur Aufführung eines Musikstücks auf der Bühne erzählt. Gleichzeitig zeigt es die drei Hauptfunktionen eines italienischen Theaters: die Schaffung eines geschlossenen Raums, der es ermöglicht, in eine bestimmte Zeit, einen bestimmten Raum oder eine bestimmte Handlung zu reisen.

Das Werk beginnt mit einer Einleitung, die wie ein Zeittunnel wirkt und uns mit der Kraft melodischer Einschnitte, wie Ausbrüche, von der Hektik des realen Lebens im Foyer eines Theaters in die zeitlose Welt einer musikalischen Aufführung im Inneren versetzt. Durch ein Leitmotiv, das den Bühnenkünstler als Sender (hohes Es), den Zuschauer im Parkett als Empfänger (tiefes D) und dazwischen die künstlerische Arbeit als Botschaft (C) darstellt. Gleichzeitig taucht vage das Thema von "Cinema Paradiso" auf, einem Film, der sich ebenfalls des racconto als Erzähltechnik und einer Kunst, der des Kinos, bedient, die auch im Theater gepflegt wird.

Preludiando versetzt uns in das Jahr 1953, mit zwei Ereignissen: "Tres Sombreros de Copa" von Miguel de Mihura gewinnt dank einer Amateurtheatergruppe den Nationalen Theaterpreis. Zur gleichen Zeit weiht eine andere Amateurorganisation, die Sociedad Musical "La Artística" von Buñol, ihr Montecarlo-Theater ein. Zwei Meilensteine von Vereinen, die sich selbstlos für eine Illusion einsetzen, treffen in Form von Musik aufeinander.

Racconto is a divertimento in four seamless parts that narrates from the process prior to a musical performance to the performance of a piece of music on stage. At the same time, it shows the three main functions of an Italian theatre: the creation of an enclosed space that allows one to travel to a specific time, space or action.

The work begins with an Introduction, like a time tunnel, which with the force of melodic incises, like bursts, transports us from the bustle of real life in the foyer of a theatre to the timeless world of a musical performance inside. Through a leitmotif that represents the stage-artists-emitter (high E flat), the stalls-audience-receiver (low D) and, in between, the artistic work-message (C). At the same time, the theme of "Cinema Paradiso" vaguely appears, a film which also uses the racconto as a narrative technique and an art, that of cinema, which is also cultivated in theatres.

Preludiando situates us in 1953, with two events: "Tres Sombreros de Copa" by Miguel de Mihura wins the National Theatre Prize thanks to an amateur theatre company. At the same time, another amateur organisation, the Sociedad Musical "La Artística" of Buñol inaugurated its Montecarlo Theatre. Two milestones of societies working selflessly for an illusion converge in the form of music.
