Bruce W. Tippette (geb. 1985) ist Komponist, Interpret und Pädagoge. Er hat einen Master of Music von der University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Musikkomposition und einen Bachelor of Music in Musikkomposition/Theorie sowie Musikausbildung von der Appalachian State University. Seine veröffentlichten Kompositionen für Chor, Konzertband, Orchester, Handhanteln und Solo/Klein-Ensembles wurden international aufgeführt, und er erhält aktiv Aufträge für Chor- und Instrumentalensembles. Neben seinen Konzertwerken hat Tippette Originalkompositionen für Choreografen, Filme und Co-Musik für ein Kindermusical komponiert. Tippettes für Orchester geschriebenes Werk Unconquered gewann 2012 den Mary Starling Kompositionswettbewerb, den das Winston-Salem Symphony Orchestra viermal in Folge aufführte. Darüber hinaus wurde er in den Jahren 2012, 2013 und 2014 ausgewählt, fünf neue Werke im Rahmen einer experimentellen Zusammenarbeit mit dem Cirque du Soleil und der University of North Carolina School of the Arts zu schreiben. Alfred Music, C. Alan Publications, Carl Fischer, Choristers Guild, Excelcia Music Publishing, FJH Music, Grand Mesa Music Publishers, Hope Publishing, Jubilate Music Group, Shawnee Press/Hal Leonard und Wingert-Jones Publications sind nur einige seiner zahlreichen Veröffentlichungen.
Tippette erhielt zahlreiche Auszeichnungen, darunter das North Carolina Teaching Fellows Scholarship und den Lynn Freeman Olson Composition Award für sein Klaviersolo Dance of Fire. Als Pädagoge unterrichtet er Musikkomposition, Theorie, Klavier und Gesang an der Community Music School der University of North Carolina School of the Arts, und er ist Jugendmusik- und Hanteldirektor der Augsburger Evangelischen Kirche. Er arbeitet als kooperativer Pianist an der School of Drama an der UNCSA und ist ein gefragter Probenbegleiter. Er lebt in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, mit seiner Frau und regelmäßigen Mitarbeiterin Elizabeth sowie deren Sohn und Tochter.
