Lynnsey Lambrecht Arrangeur

LYNNSEY LAMBRECHT is a composer, arranger, and saxophonist from the plains of Colorado. She currently lives in Lansing, Michigan and attends Michigan State University, where she is pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in composition. Lynnsey has studied composition with Charles Ruggiero, Paul Elwood, and Darin Kamstra.

Lynnsey earned a Master of Music in theory and composition from the University of Northern Colorado (UNC), and she graduated summa cum laude from Colorado Mesa University (CMU) with a Bachelor of Arts in music education. As an undergraduate, Lynnsey received first place in the first annual CMU Student Showcase Competition for her presentation on an original music composition, Journey Through Dreams. As a graduate student at UNC, Lynnsey was selected to be a panel presenter at the Colorado Music Educator Association Annual Conference.

Lynnsey attended the New York Summer Music Festival composition program held at the State University of New York in Oneonta. Two of her compositions were selected for premiere performances at faculty concerts during the festival. As a high school senior, she was named a prestigious Boettcher Foundation Scholar, one of the highest awards offered to graduating seniors in Colorado.

Lynnsey has composed and arranged a variety of works for large ensembles, chamber groups, and solo instruments. She has compositions and arrangements published by Grand Mesa Music Publishers, Eighth Note Publications, and Blue Note Music Press.

One of her greatest passions is creating music for saxophone ensembles that she can perform with her two sisters who play saxophone and are music educators. In her free time, Lynnsey enjoys spending time with family, playing cards, and exploring Michigan with her German shorthaired pointer sidekick, Marley.
