Albert Meijns was een Zaanse dirigent, arrangeur, componist en ook nog enige tijd uitgever.Zijn mars 'La Bannière' is zeker waard opnieuw in de belangstelling te komen.Bijzondere aandacht voor het zangrijke trio.

Albert Meijns was a conductor, arranger, composer and even for some time a music publisher, living in the area of the Zaan river (area in which our publishing firm is situated). His march 'La Bannière' (The Banner) fully deserves a revival, not in the least because of its melodious trio.

Albert Meijns fut un chef-d'orchestre, arrangeur, compositeur et même, à une certaine époque, éditeur dans la région de la Zaan (région dans laquelle notre maison d'édition est située). Sa marche 'La Bannière' mérite amplement de sortir de l'oubli, ne fut-ce que pour le trio mélodieux.
