Pirate Music Book 2 is designed to follow on from Book 1, but it can also be used on its own to learn the names of notes. While Book 1 is specially designed with the piano student in mind, Book 2 can be used by all music students. The book starts by revising the notes from C to C2 (the note range for Pirate Music Book 1) and then introduces new notes from G to C3 in the treble clef, followed by C to F1 in the bass clef. From chapter 4, both clefs appear on every puzzle page, and accidentals are introduced in chapters 5 and 6. The puzzles can be used in individual or classroom teaching or as homework for students. The pages are so clearly set out that children can work on them themselves.
