WHITE FIELD entstand als Auftragskomposition für die Musikkapelle Vintl und wurde beim
Frühjahrskonzert am 02. April 2011 uraufgeführt. Der Titel ist eine Anlehnung an den keltischen
Ursprung des Namens Vintl, der so viel wie "weißes Feld" bedeutet. Das Werk beginnt mit einem
schwungvollem ersten Teil, in dem das fanfarenartige Hauptthema vorgestellt wird, mit dem dem
"kleinen" 115-Jahr Jubiläum der Musikkaplle Vintl Rechnung getragen wird. Im lyrischen Mittelteil wird
die beeindruckende und sagenumwobene Bergwelt rund um die Ortschaft Vintl beschrieben. Im
anschließenden Schlussteil wird nochmals das Hauptthema vom ersten Teil aufgeriffen, bevor das
Werk in einem majestätischen Schluss endet.



WHITE FIELD was commissioned for the Vintl wind bind and premiered at their spring concert on 2nd April 2011. The title is a reference to the Celtic origins of the name Vintl which, roughly translated, means White FIELD. The piece begins with a lively first section in which the main theme is introduced in the style of a fanfare. This fanfare honours the small 115-year anniversary of Vintl wind band. The impressive and fabled mountainous world surrounding Vintl is depicted in the lyrical middle section. The main theme from the first movement is heard again in the end section culminating in a majestic finish.
