The marcha mora, marcha cristiana and some types of pasodobles are characteristic of the Moros y Cristianos festivities that are celebrated throughout the Valencian Community (Spain). It is an exclusive genre of music written just for bands.

The general conception of the pasodoble revolves around the main theme developed in the second part of the work and which also served as a contrapuntal element, or at least part of it, in other moments such as the introduction with the corresponding harmonic or modal variations. Other small incorporations of popular themes, also with variations, give the work the aesthetics of the festive pasodoble so traditional of the Moros y Cristianos festivities. Jaibo was awarded First Prize in the IX Concurso de Composición de Música Festera de Altea 2008, organized by the Associació de Moros i Cristians Sant Blai d'Altea and the Societat Filharmònica Alteanense, who was in charge of its premiere. In this way, it was designated as a compulsory work of the VII Certamen de Música Festera de Altea La Vella de 2009. Was nominated to the Euterpe Music Awards in 2009, and ?nally awarded in 2014 with the Prize Euterpe Music Awards to the musical creation granted by the FSMCV (Federación Sociedades Musicales de la Comunidad Valenciana).
