PROGRAM NOTES
This is an easy Latin-flavored piece of moderate tempo for young bands. The expanded percussion section provides a repeated, rhythmic anchor for the slightly syncopated thematic material throughout. This piece also utilizes slightly more complex, extended harmonies to maintain interest and variety in the accompaniment sections.

ABOUT THE COMPOSER
Danny Williams has been commissioned to write pieces for school concert bands and jazz bands throughout California and the United States. He composed music for jingles and live theater soundtracks in Southern California for twenty years. Formerly, Danny taught band in San Diego, CA for 24 years. He has been teaching band in Corpus Christi, TX since 2002.
