As a very easy introduction to canonic themes, this piece utilizes easy, accessible melodies suitable for first-year or developing bands. It also presents the opportunity to reinforce contrasting staccato/legato elements of style.

ABOUT THE COMPOSER
Danny Williams has been commissioned to write pieces for school concert bands and jazz bands throughout California and the United States. He composed music for jingles and live theater soundtracks in Southern California for twenty years. Formerly, Danny taught band in San Diego, CA for 24 years. He has been teaching band in Corpus Christi, TX since 2002.
