Their Finest Hour David J. Long
Maestro Band SeriesPROGRAM NOTES
As an intrinsic part of existence, all peoples face adversity, both individually and collectively. When the cause of such adversity is beyond the control of any given party (or parties), it is the heroes who emerge to turn the tide of tragedy into ultimate victory. War, natural disaster, internal and external social strife, None can deter the heroic idealism embodied in the American People due to individual and collective character, determination, a sense of justice, lofty goals, and faith.
Their Finest Hour addresses this triumph of the American Spirit.
