PUBLICATION IN PREPARATION The Dance of the Elves (Elfentanz) by David Popper (1843-1913) was originally composed as a showpiece for cello with piano accompaniment. David Popper's contributions to the cello world are still widely used and most credited with expanding the level of technical ability on the instrument. In this version for euphonium and wind orchestra, the soloist can demonstrate his virtuosity and technical skills.
