Written for the Mt. Pleasant High School Symphonic Band, Mt. Pleasant, MI, A Light Unto the Darkness is an homage to the 168 victims of the Oklahoma City disaster, April 19, 1995.ÿ This epic composition is set in three main sections, each representing a different idea, setting, or emotion associated with the disaster.ÿ The "light" is found within the melody of the work and seeks to call our attention to the 168 special individual, and beautiful souls who are now at peace. ÿ Illustrating superb musicianship from all players, the piece includes piano and 5 percussion.Die epische Komposition "A Light Unto The Darkness" ist eine Homage an die 168 Opfer des Bombenanschlages in der Innenstadt von Oklahoma City am 19. April 1995. Dieses ergreifende Werk verlangt unsere Aufmerksamkeit für diese Seelen die jetzt in Frieden leben.
