Mars 1488 Eric Swiggers

Mars 1488 was commissioned by the Commander of the Naval Forces on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Marine Band of the Royal Netherlands Navy in 2010. The title refers to the year 1488, in which the 'Dutch Fleet' was founded. It was premiered at the annual corps concerts at De Doelen in Rotterdam on 1 and 2 December 2010.Since then, this march has been much loved by both the Marine Band and the public and has been performed frequently at home and abroad.March 1488 has been available from Molenaar Edition since 2024 for both concert band and fanfare band.

Mars 1488 a été commandé par le commandant des forces navales à l'occasion du 65e anniversaire de la fanfare de la marine royale néerlandaise en 2010. Le titre fait référence à l'année 1488, au cours de laquelle la "flotte néerlandaise" a été fondée. Elle a été créée lors des concerts annuels du corps d'armée à De Doelen à Rotterdam les 1er et 2 décembre 2010.Depuis lors, cette marche est très appréciée tant par la Marine Band que par le public et a été jouée fréquemment en Belgique et à l'étranger.La Marche 1488 est disponible chez Molenaar Edition depuis 2024 pour orchestre d'harmonie et Fanfare band.

Mars 1488 werd gecomponeerd in opdracht van de Commandant der Zee Strijdkrachten ter gelegenheid van het 65-jarig jubileum van de Marinierskapel der Koninklijke Marine in 2010. De titel refereert aan het jaartal 1488, waarin de 'Nederlandsche Vloot' werd opgericht. De première vond plaats tijdens de jaarlijkse korpsconcerten in De Doelen in Rotterdam op 1 en 2 december 2010.Sindsdien is deze mars zeer geliefd bij zowel de Marinierskapel als het publiek en werd veelvuldig uitgevoerd in binnen- en buitenland.Mars 1488 is sinds 2024 verkrijgbaar bij Molenaar Edition, zowel voor harmonie- als voor fanfareorkest.
