Program Notes:
How to make emerge the myth of the duration, a cellular organization of a flow obeying other laws? How to outline in the conviction with, or of silence an initially indistinguishable rhythmic inscription then finally hammered in an antiquated form? While composing, an image came to me: that of archaeologists discovering a Stele and vacuum-cleaning it until uncovering a funerary inscription on it. - Gérard Grisey
