Quartet G minor TWV 43:g1

ZM 31880 is a revised new edition of the old number 1117. This quartet belongs to the series of the so-called Parisian Quartets which were composed between 1730 and 1740. Werner Richter complemented this edition by numbering the basso continuo and adding new parts for the viola da gamba and the violoncello. In doing so, he followed the unaltered score and its instrumentation. The parts of the flute and the violin can be replaced by other instruments as it was common practice in those days. For this edition, the typing of notes has been completely redone.

ZM 31880 est la nouvelle édition révisée du numéro 1117. Le quatuor ici présenté fait partie de la série des dits Quatuors Parisiens, écrits entre 1730 et 1740. Werner Richter a rajouté à la présente édition des nouvelles parties de viole de gambe et de violoncelle ainsi que le chiffrage de la basse. Les parties de la flûte et du violon peuvent être remplacées, suivant la pratique de l'époque, par d'autres instruments.
