Trio D major

Giovanni Battista Gervasio lived in the 18th century and was a well-respected mandolin musician from Naples, who later lived in London and afterwards in Frankfurt/Main. The original of the trio with three movements presented here is kept at the University Library in Uppsala/Sweden. The three individual parts were made into a score, the unfigured bass was realised and the whole material was given suggestions as to its dynamics. Moreover, bar numbers were added for practical reasons. According to the music's demands and character, the movement's technical structure has been kept quite simple. A separate part has been added for performance with an additional bass.

Trio en ré majeur

Giovanni Battista Gervasio fut un mandoliniste napolitain fort apprécié au 18ème siècle qui vécut, plus tard, à Londres et ensuite à Francfort-sur-le-Main. Le manuscrit original du Trio en trois mouvements ici présenté se trouve dans la Bibliothèque de l'Université d'Uppsala en Suède. Pour la nouvelle édition, les trois parties séparées ont été réunies dans une partition, la basse non chiffrée a été réalisée et le matériel complet a été muni de signes dynamiques et de numéros de la mesure afin de faciliter l'emploi pratique. La structure stylistique est simple, ce qui correspond aux exigences et au caractère de la musique. Pour l'exécution avec une basse supplémentaire, une partie séparée a été jointe.
