La Traviata tells the story of the young and beautiful courtesan Violetta who falls in love with Alfredo, an ordinary and poor young man. She leaves her luxurious live for him and finally offers her love for the sake of the future of Alfredo's family. 'Parigi, o cara' (Away from Paris, my dear) is a beautiful duet that occurs in the last act of the opera when Violetta and Alfredo are reunited after a long separation.
