The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child celebrated 30 years in 2019 and the Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family affairs commissioned Children's March for the celebration on November 20th in Oslo. School bands is a good example of the rights children have to play, learning and leisure regardless of background.

The FNS Children's Convention was adopted by the UN General Assembly on 20 November 1989. The Convention is in the world community the most recognized of all UN conventions. Norway ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1991 and in 2003 the parliament made the Convention into Norwegian law.

The march is easy to play, catchy and will fit well as a concert or street march in both large and small bands. In accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child, available voices for stringed instruments have also been made so that other young people can play along. Let more children join in and hum on the tune in the trio part of the march.

FNS barnekonvensjon ble vedtatt av FNs Generalforsamling 20.11.1989. Konvensjonen er i verdenssamfunnet den mest anerkjente av alle FNs konvensjoner. Norge ratifiserte barnekonvensjonen i 1991 og Stortinget gjorde i 2003 konvensjonen til norsk lov.

Marsjen er enkel å spille, iørefallende og vil passe bra som konsert- eller gatemarsj i både store og små korps. I trå med barnekonvensjonen er det også laget tilgjengelige stemmer for strykeinstrumenter slik at andre barn og unge kan være med og spille. La gjerne flere barn være med og nynne på melodien i triodelen på marsje
