Rounded with a Sleep is een eendelige compositie voor Fanfare-orkest waarin de Sopraansaxofoon een belangrijke rol vervult. Het is afkomstig uit het toneelstuk The Tempest van Shakespeare waarin één van de hoofdrolspelers zegt: We are such stuff as dreams are made on; and our little life is rounded with a sleep. Een metafoor voor de vraag: wie zijn wij en wat doen wij hier. De compositie zoomt in op het fenomeen droom, dat allerlei gemoedstoestanden, stemmingen en situaties kan omvatten.

Rounded with a Sleep is a one-piece composition for the Fanfare Orchestra in where the soprano saxophone plays a feature role. The title is derived from Shakespeare’s play, The Tempest in which one of the main characters says: We are such stuff as dreams are made on; and our little life is rounded with a sleep. This quote is a metaphor for the question: Who are we and what do we do here? The composition zooms in on the phenomenon of dreams, which incorporates a variety of moods, emotions and situations.
