Osakan Jubilee - Grand Overture Jan van der Roost
In 2014, Philharmonic Winds OSAKAN (Japan) celebrated its fifteenth anniversary for which this work was composed. From the very beginning, Yoshihoro Kimura has been the artistic leader of the ensemble. Jan Van der Roost became the band's first guest conductor in 2013. In this spectacular work the composer looks back at one of his most famous earlier works Apollo', and to Adolphe Sax, the Belgian inventor of the saxophone.
