This book of exercises developed out of many years of pedagogic experience working towards the conscious stimulation and execution of the warm-up phase of flute playing. In other words, warming-up means the preparation of the body, limbs and organs and many other biological functions. One of which, breathing, for example, supersedes its physical function to allow the creation of tone and song.

Le présent annuel pour les Amis de la flûte traversière nous présente une nouvelle direction. Jusqu'à présent il s'y agissait de littérature de jeu dans diverses distributions, maintenant le flûtiste et pédagogue Krzysztor Zgraja a crée un volume de base. C'est ainsi qu'il entend par Warming Up non seulement l'embouchure, mais le corps complet et l'attitude mentale. Il y a des exercices intéressants et variés pour tous les jours. Le texte (en allemand et anglais) explique les points essentiels des différentes unités.
