To realize this sequence, the composer fancied to imagine a Formula One race at Monza. The binary beat portrays the combustion engine. The exaggerated effects and nuances with the timpani evoke the race cars rushing past. The repeated rhythms and riffs suggest the tension and the sound atmosphere of the race, while the answers in canon form to the theme refer to the overtaking (passing) manuvres. At the end of the race, the traditional bottle of champagne is uncorked to toast at the imaginary pilot's victory.

Pour réaliser cette séquence, le compositeur s'est plu à imaginer une compétition automobile à Monza. Le temps binaire image le moteur à explosion. Les effets exagérés en nuances de la timbale évoquent le passage des bolides devant soi. Les rythmes et riffs répétitifs suggèrent la tension et l'ambiance sonore de la course et les réponses du thème en canon les dépassements. Et, naturellement, pour clore la compétition, le bouchon de champagne saute à la victoire du pilote imaginaire.

Met deze sublieme compositie van Mickey Nicolas waant u zich aanwezig bij een Formule 1 wedstrijd: de binaire maat verbeeldt de verbrandingsmotor, de overdreven effecten op de pauken roepen het voorbijrazen van de racewagens op, de herhaalde ritmen en riffs suggereren de spanning en de geluidsatmosfeer van de koers, terwijl de antwoorden in canonvorm op het thema de inhaalmanuvres uitbeelden. Om de competitie af te ronden is er vanzelfsprekend de champagnefles die voor de winnaar ontkurkt wordt.
