On August 14th 2020, the composer Noah Wada saw the Perseids meteor shower from a hill. He could clearly see many bright stars streaming across the sky, as if they were falling down on the earth. The dazzling sight was enough to inspire him to compose this overture.

"Starlit Landscape" was commissioned by the Kawagoe High School Band, Kawagoe City, Saitama, Japan and premiered on March 20th, 2023 by the band and Mr. Hiroki Mori, director.

"Starlit Landscape" is a sparkling overture from the Japanese composer Naoya Wada. It begins with a bold brass fanfare over a bright woodwind passage.

Le 14 août 2020, le compositeur Noah Wada a observé la pluie de météores des Perséides depuis une colline. Il a pu voir clairement de nombreuses étoiles brillantes traverser le ciel, comme si elles tombaient sur la terre. Ce spectacle éblouissant a suffi à l'inspirer pour composer cette ouverture.

"Starlit Landscape" a été commandée par le Kawagoe High School Band, Kawagoe City, Saitama, Japon, et a été créée le 20 mars 2023 par l'orchestre et M. Hiroki Mori, directeur.

Op 14 augustus 2020 zag de componist Noah Wada de Perseïden-meteorenregen vanaf een heuvel. Hij kon duidelijk vele heldere sterren langs de hemel zien stromen, alsof ze op de aarde neervielen. De oogverblindende aanblik was genoeg om hem te inspireren tot het componeren van deze ouverture.

"Starlit Landscape" werd geschreven in opdracht van de Kawagoe High School Band, Kawagoe City, Saitama, Japan en ging in première op 20 maart 2023 door de band en Hiroki Mori, directeur.
