Nicolai von Wilm (1834-1911) war zweiter Kapellmeister am Stadttheater in Riga, später Musiklehrer in St. Petersburg. Ab 1875 lebte er in Wiesbaden, wo er auch starb. Sein Duo wurde 1898 vom Carl Giessel junior Musikverlag in Bayreuth (später Zimmermann) verlegt. Es ist ein romantisches Salonstück in einer musikalisch wunderbaren Instrumentenkombination.

Nicolai von Wilm (1834-1911) was second conductor at the Municipal Theatre in Riga, later a music teacher in St. Petersburg. From 1875 he lived in Wiesbaden, where he died. His duo was published by Carl Giessel junior music publisher in Bayreuth in 1898 (later Zimmermann). It is a romantic salon piece in a wonderful musical instrument combination.
