Czech composer Oldrich Flosman (1925 - 1998) was musically influenced by S. Prokofiev and D. Shostakovitch whom he took as examples, as well as by Bohemian folk music. Traces of the latter can often be felt in his works, in the form of stylized and witty rhythms and unsentimental melodies. He also had a liking for baroque music as can be heard in the Partita presented here which combines Slavonic melodies and rhythms with counterpoint techniques. Surprising changes and contrasting sounds make up a colourful and entertaining piece. This composition was initiated by the TRIO PAPILLON and premiered on 22nd January 1994.

Le compositeur tchèque Oldrich Flosman (1925 - 1998) fut influencé par ses modèles S. Prokofieff et D. Schostakowitsch ainsi que par le folklore de Bohème toujours présent dans ses ?uvres par des rythmes stylisés pleins d'humour et par une mélodique sans sentimentalité. Sa prédilection pour la musique baroque s'exprime dans la présente Partita. Les techniques de contrepoint se mêlent à une rythmique et une mélodique slaves. Il en résulte une ?uvre colorée et divertissante, pleine de revirements surprenants et de sons richement contrastés. La présente Partita fut écrite à l'initiative du TRIO PAPILLON et fut créée le 22 janier 1994.
