Olle Adolphson was regarded as one of the founders of the nordic folkmusic movement together with another great Swedish singer/songwriter; Evert Taube. A Merry Calypso in Spring is one of his most well-known songs.

[NO]Olle Adolphson (1934 - 2004) var en svensk visedikter og sanger som debuterte i 1955 med viseamlingen Aubade. Han ble ansett som arvtageren etter visekunstneren Evert Taube, og innledet sammen med flere andre den såkalte Visebølgen i Norden. En glad Calypso er en av hans aller mest kjente sanger. I Norge er låten blant annet spilt inn av Per Asplin og Banana Airlines.
