The sparkling overture of this piece is no doubt 'great' and it is followed by a terrific melodic line with several beautiful romantic highlights. By means of a slowing down we get a more moderate tempo (tempo II) which enables a kind of concert march theme to develop. This is Peter York at best. Steve Sykes was most happy to recover this composition which was considered as being untraceable for many years.

Un ralentissement mène à un tempo plus calme (tempo II) qui soutient un thème en forme de marche de concert. De la musique typique pour Peter Yorke. Steve Sykes était heureux de retrouver cette pièce, introuvable depuis plusieurs années.

'Great' van opzet is de spetterende opening, dan een geweldige melodielijn met mooie 'romantisch' gevormde hoogtepunten. Via een kleine vertraging komen we in een rustiger tempo II waarin zich een 'statig' concertmarsachtig thema ontwikkeld. Peter York op z'n best.Steve Sykes was erg blij dat wij hem dit werk konden leveren, hij had er jaren naar gezocht.
