JE: Come Rain Or Come Shine Peggy Lee / Arr. Frank DeVol
Jazz Studio Orchestra Arrangement with VocalThis Frank DeVol arrangement was written for Peggy Lee's 1946 Capitol recording session in Hollywood, CA. Featured along with the vocal is alto saxophone. What sounds like the alto saxophonist (Skeets Herfert) soloing was actually entirely written out by DeVol. We have included the chord changes in the event that your alto player would like to improvise instead. Originally, this arrangement was written for 2 trombones. Sometime later on, DeVol revised the arrangement for a performance by Helen O'Connell (whom he was married to) and added a 3rd trombone part. We have retained this modification of the arrangement. Trumpets and trombones need plunger mutes. This arrangement is based on the original score and parts. Vocal Key: B flat
