Funky Kidz is a cool tune that fits perfectly to showcase the beginners as soloists with the band. The solo part is easy to learn "by ear", while a stylish bass ostinato makes it fun for the band to accompany the youngest! In the middle section one or more of the older musicians blows a fiery solo, while the cool beginners "beat boxes".

The beat boxing in the middle section fits well with a simple dance with the beginners.

Simplified parts for the groove-instruments are included. The parts for these are bass clarinet, baritone sax, baritone/euphonium and tuba.

[NO]Funky Kidz er en tøff låt som passer perfekt til å vise fram de yngste musikantene sammen med hovedkorpset. Solostemmen er lett å lære på øret for de minste, mens et stilig bassostinat som virkelig groover gjør det gøy for korpset å kompe de minste! I midtdelen viser en eller flere av de eldste musikantene seg frem med en heftig solo, mens de kule aspirantene beatboxer.

Ved å artikulere konsonanter bestemt med et stort lufttrykk bak, kan en lage trommelyder med munnen se gjerne filmer på YouTube for inspirasjon. En kjekk aktivitet for å jobbe med bruk av støtte i blåseteknikken! Kombiner gjerne også beatboxingen i midtdelen med en enkel dans hos aspirantene.
