I needed a new tune at trotting tempo to accompany a display at the 'Horse of the Year Show' for which my band plays every year. I couln't find one but managed to think of this one which fitted nicely.

Il me fallait un nouveau morceau de musique au rythme dún galop pour accompagner une démonstration équestre lors du 'Horse of the Year Show'avec mon orchestre militaire.

Terry Kenny werd gevraagd om, zoals ieder jaar met zijn orkest een demonstratie van The Horse Of The Year Show te begeleiden. Hiervoor was deze keer een stuk in draftempo nodig. Kenny componeerde Dancing In The Sun dat dus in draftempo (1 tel is metronoomcijfer 104) gespeeld dient te worden.
