Presidential Playground is the second movement of the suite Sally's Gallery. This movement describes the sights and sounds of the landscape of New Hampshire, the playground of future presidents. Hillsboro, for instance, was the birthplace of Franklin Pierce, fourteenth president of the United States. What sounds might have surrounded Mr. Pierce when he was a child?
