This Christmas psalm is famous all over the world and especially in Europe. It is likely that the melody is more than 600 years old.

Many famous composers have written their own harmonics and versions of the psalm.
This arrangement is based on two different harmonics; The first and third verse is based on the harmonics by Michael Praetorius while the second verse is based on the harmonics of Johann Sebastian Bach.

[NO]Denne julesalmen som på norsk heter "Jeg synger julekvad" har sine røtter helt tilbake til 1300-tallet. Teksten er opprinnelig skrevet som et såkalt makaronisk dikt på en blanding av tysk og latin.
Arrangementet bygger på to kjente harmoniseringer av melodien, første og tredje vers er basert på Michael Praetorius' harmonisering, mens andre vers er basert på Johann Sebastian Bach sin harmonisering.
