This work was commissioned by and is dedicated to the Hofstra University Wind Ensemble, Dr. Peter Loel Boonshaft, conductor. This powerful and dramatic work actually began early in Nelhybel's life at the piano of the boarding school he attended in Czechoslovakia. It stayed with hin through at tumultuous and wonderful life and was finally finished at hte end of his career.|
