Festive Alleluia Warren Barker
Festive Alleluia (Hyfrydol) is briefly stated by the trumpets in the introduction, followed by a complete phrase featuring the flutes and clarinets. This phrase is repeated by unison trumpets with a counter melody in the saxes and horns, and it continues between the woodwind and brass sections. A fugue is introduced in bar 51 leading to a climax in bar 87. A final triumphant chorus begins in bar 109. Careful attention to phrasing and dynamic markings should provide a challenge to the musicians resulting in a pleasing performance for the audience.
