Amy Kempton arranger

Amy Kempton is a graduate of the New England Conservatory and has studied with Wallace Mann, Lois Schaefer, Robert Willoughby, Robert Mols and Arthur Lora. She has performed in Master Classes with Jean Pierre Rampal and Julius Baker.
She has been a music educator for the past 35 years in the Great Neck Public Schools and is an active member of county, state and national music education associations. One of the founding members of the Long Island Flute Club, Amy remains an active member of the LIFC and National Flute Association. She maintains a private flute studio and performs regularly as an orchestral, wind ensemble and chamber music performer.
In collaboration with Carl Strommen, Amy has arranged and edited music for flute and piccolo published by Kendor Music and distributed nationally. An advocate for libraries, Amy serves as a trustee on the Board of the Gold Coast Public Library in Glen Head.
