Azael Tormo Munoz

Azael Tormo Munoz composer

Azael Tormo Muñoz was born in the Valencian town of Manuel, taking his first steps in music under the guidance of his own father, later passing through the conservatories "Mestre Verd" in Carcaixent, Superior de Valencia, and Superior de San Sebastián. As a conductor, he has won many prizes, including the one he won at the 13th WMC held in 1997 in Kerkrade (Holland), with a gold medal and the Queen Juliana banner, both in the concert and in the parade, with the Agrupación Musical de Manuel; and the Distinction of the Diputación de Valencia "Batuta de Oro" for having won three honourable mentions in the provincial band competition.

Also important is his production in the world of composition, harvesting since 2018 countless first prizes in competitions held both in the Valencian Community, as in the rest of the state, with compositions for the festival of Moors and Christians, or processional marches. He was the winner of the competition organised to provide a hymn for the "Associació de Moros i Cristians de Lleida".

He has conducted in countries such as France, Denmark, Germany, Holland and the United States. He is currently the conductor of the bands of Beneixida and Gavarda, although he has also conducted the bands of Manuel, Càrcer, La Llosa de Ranes and Benifaiò.
