Blas Maria Colomer i Pérez ( Bocairente , Valencia , 1833 , other sources: 4 of February of 1840 1 - Paris , 27 of June of 1917 ) was a composer , pianist and music teacher Spanish nationalized in France.
He studied in Valencia and, from the year 1851, in Paris with Antoine François Marmontel . He won the first prize for piano (1861) and for harmony (1863) at the Paris Conservatory . In 1869 he became a teacher, and had students such as Georges Sporck (1870-1943). He was a professor of piano and harmony at the Légion d'Honneur Schools. French was nationalized.
As a composer, he was a finalist in the opera competition organized by the Napoleon III government . He also composed an opera, The Cup of the King of Thule , some operettas , two concertos for piano and orchestra and other works. For the use of his students he made a large number of piano works for students.
