Earlene Rentz

Earlene Rentz received her Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Montevallo in Alabama and both Master and Doctoral degrees in Music Education from Florida State University. She is a native of Moultrie, Georgia, and taught choral music for seven years in Georgia public schools at elementary, junior high, and high school levels. She has taught music education courses at California State University, Long Beach, The University of Texas at Austin, and Baylor University.
In addition to her current work as a freelance choral writer, she is a popular speaker and clinician in choral music education and choral arranging techniques. She frequently conducts choral ensembles in district and regional honor choirs, and has conducted All-State choruses in Florida, Georgia, and Kentucky.
Dr. Rentz has presented research papers at the International Society for Music Education, the national convention of the American Choral Directors Association, the Southeastern Music Education Symposium, the Texas Music Educators Association, and the Music Educators National Conference.
