Glenda E. Franklin has been a music educator in Georgia for 41 years with experience teaching middle and high school students in both public and private schools. In addition to her classroom teaching, she has taught private studio piano, voice, and organ lessons.
During her teaching career, Franklin has served as conductor, adjudicator and/or accompanist for numerous district and state honor choruses, large group performance evaluations and Georgia All-State Chorus.
Mrs. Franklin, a native of Habersham County, holds degrees from Brenau University and Piedmont College. She is a three-time nominee to Whos Who Among Americas Teachers and was selected as the South Habersham Middle School Teacher of the Year in 1999 and again in 2009 at South Habersham Sixth Grade Academy. She is a member of The National Association for Music Education (NAfME); Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA); Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE); American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP); Alpha Delta Kappa International Honor Society for Women Educators (ADK); Delta Kappa Gamma International Honor Society for Women Educators (DKG), and Retired Georgia Educators Association (RGEA).
