Herman Beeftink composer

Herman Beeftink was born in 1953 in the Netherlands where he studied piano and composition at the Utrecht Conservatory. His development of original Jazz methods while still a student at the Conservatory brought him his first appointment as a music educator in the Jazz Department at the Utrecht Conservatory from 1978-1982. Following his graduation from the Conservatory, (M.A. Classical Piano, M.A. Composition) Herman achieved a versatile and successful career. He became the musical director in Europe for the Broadway musical "Getting My Act Together And Taking It On The Road."

Herman has written many music books for our company over the years and still does, the first one was published in 1978.

Since 1982, Herman lives in Los Angeles where he works as a composer for TV and film. He started by playing piano and synthesizers on many TV shows such as "The Carol Burnett Show" (Disney), "Roseanne" (ABC), and "Cheers". He also started his own production company, where he composes and records music for TV Commercials, Albums and Videos. Among his clients were Walt Disney and the Play boy TV Channel.
