Larry MacTaggart composer / arranger
Chief Master Sergeant Larry D. MacTaggart is the Manager of PACAF Band-Hawaii located at Hickam Air Force Base. Chief MacTaggart is responsible for management of the local unit and oversight of enlisted issues for two other PACAF Band locations. He also serves as the Functional Area Manager for PACAF Bands.
A native of the Pea Ridge, Arkansas, Chief MacTaggart enlisted in the Air Force in September 1985. Following basic training, he served with The United States Air Force Strategic Air Command Band, Offutt AFB, NE, holding a variety of positions, including Principal Percussionist in the Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble and Chief Music Composer/Arranger. In 1997, he was reassigned to The United States Air Force Band, serving as staff music arranger and production coordinator. In January of 2000, he was appointed Chief Music Composer/Arranger. He also served as additional duty First Sergeant and Production Manager for The United States Air Force Band. Chief MacTaggart served as Career Field Manager for Regional and Premier Bands, Secretary of the Air Force Office of Public Affairs, The Pentagon, from 2007-2009.
