Lilith Guegamian composer
Lilith Guégamian was born in Armenia (former USSR) in 1971. Arriving in France at the age of 4, she took an early interest in the guitar and pursued musical studies that gradually led to a gold medal at the ENM in L'Hay-les-Roses, in Tania Chagnot's class.
Then began a life of concerts, composing and teaching...
Initially a guitarist with the Tres y dos tango quintet, then with singer Céline Blasco, with whom she recorded two albums, Lilith began performing solo in 2006...
Initially made up of pieces for solo guitar of her own composition, her programme has sometimes been enriched by songs... songs that first came from elsewhere: from her native Armenia, or from India, which she loves and to which she has travelled three times.
Her first album, Éclairée par une luciole, was released at the end of 2007, followed by her second, De passage..., in 2010.
Lilith Guégamian teaches guitar at the Villefranche-sur-Saône Conservatoire.
