LLOYD LARSON (b. 1954) is a native of Illinois. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Anderson University in Anderson, IN, and his Master of Church Music from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, with an emphasis in piano and composition. He has previously served as Minister of Music for churches in Indiana and Ohio. He is currently a free-lance composer/arranger residing in the Minneapolis, MN, metropolitan area. His choral, handbell, keyboard and instrumental works are widely published. His most recent collections published by Hope include JOY TO THE WORLD (1997) duets for C and or B instruments and keyboard for Advent and Christmas (Code No. 1943) and SACRED VOCAL DUETS (1999) for high and low voice (Code No. 8065). In 2002 Lloyd completed a Contemporary Tenebrae Service entitled THE SHADOW OF THE CROSS which includes a full length CD. He and his wife, Marci, have three children, Stephanie, Philip and Jeffrey.
