Monty Musgrave arranger
Monty Musgrave currently serves as the Curriculum Specialist for the Performing Arts for Volusia Co. Schools, a position he has held since 2005. Prior to this appointment he taught instrumental music in the public schools of Florida for 19 years. During his tenure as a music educator his ensembles consistently received critical acclaim in the areas of marching band, concert band and jazz band, and performed at various regional and state festivals.
In additional to his duties with Volusia County Schools, Dr. Musgrave serves the education community in a variety of ways. He is president of the Florida Music Supervision Association, and is chairman of the Florida Bandmasters Association Concert Music Committee. He also serves on the executive boards of the Florida Music Education Association, the Florida School Music Association, the Daytona Beach Symphony Society, and the Volusia Co. Cultural Alliance. He also maintains an active schedule as a conductor, composer, arranger, clinician, and author.
Dr. Musgrave holds degrees from The University of Florida, Florida State University, and Louisiana State University.
