Calvert Morley geb. in Brantford, Ontario, Kanada, 11. Juni 1928, †Hamilton, Ontario, 6. September 1991. Calvert studierte an der Mc Gill University, in Ungarn und in London. Als Lehrer begann er 1950 an verschiedenen Schulen in Montreal, 1972 trat er in das Barrie Central Collegiate ein. Calvert gründete die McGill University Concert Band und die Lakeshore Concert Band.
