Steve Waterman studied at Trinity College of Music in London. Since then he has been active in the British and European jazz scene, playing in particular with bands led by jazz composers Carla Bley, Andy Sheppard and John Surman. Steve has his own quartet which regularly performs his original compositions in concert and on the radio, including the Jazz Parade programme on BBS Radio 2, and he recently released an album entitled Destination Unknown. In addition to his extensive work in recording studios, at shows in London's West End and for TR jingles, Steve teaches at the Royal Academy of Music in London and at the Wavendon Jazz Courses.
